What is Undead Annihilation: A Zombie Apocalypse Thriller about?

He thought he was at rock bottom. Then the world blew up. Now, he’s the only one that can save the city. But it may take more than he has to give . . .

Detective Kurt Weller has been framed, shamed, and beaten. And now he wakes up to the end of the world.

Bombs are dropping, and dead people are trying to eat him. But Weller just can’t seem to let go of the very human conspiracy that ruined his life before the world went to hell.

Lucky for him, the zombie apocalypse has brought out some other undead fiends — the kind that have been living off of humanity’s scraps for centuries.

When one of these abominations approaches Weller and offers to help him protect the city against the unholy horde of brain-dead zombies, he can’t say no.

As the two form an uneasy alliance, they face off against villains both human and supernatural as they fight to save the city. But their biggest threat could come from right under their noses . . .

My Review

The world begins to crumble when bombs begin going off all over the world, and the novel introduces readers to the supernatural beings of zombies and vampires.

We find Detective Weller at rock bottom after being put on leave from an undercover sting on corrupt cops gone wrong. But as the world starts taking in the new existence of zombies, Weller learns that not only was he set up once he was onto the heart of the corruption in the department but that vampires exist.

This was book was good and did a good job offering all perspectives happening in the universe from the monsters to the citizens and the villains and the police. It was humorous in several spots and offered likeable characters for the audience.

The ending leaves it open to see what else the world has to offer. Mostly in terms of what other supernatural beings exist in the world and what is left in the world outside the safe zone of the city Weller resides in.

Great for zombie fans who enjoy a twist of humor and curve balls.

I give this book a four-star review.
